Live act competition... VOTE NOW!

Err I hope I've posted this in the right place Ant ;D

I received a message from a bloke from Jam (??) who are working with Absolute Radio, here's the details:

As part of Absolute Radio’s Summer of Live, we’re asking music fans who their favourite live act is and why, with the public’s favourite entries winning up to £1,500.

I thought your members might be interested in sharing how much they love The Courteeners.

All you need to do is:

  • Invite your forum members to enter the Absolute Radio Live Stories competition
  • They can then tell us who their favourite live acts are and why (in 300 words or less)
  • All the entries will go up on Absolute Radio’s website, where the public will be able to vote for their favourite


The top three stories will win cash, with 1st place getting £1,500, 2nd place £1,000 and 3rd place £500.

On top of this, forum members will be able to say which forum they’re from. The forums with the most popular entries will go through to the final for a chance to create a virtual festival radio show on Absolute Radio.

Sounds great, I think there's quite a few of you who should enter this but the competition closes on Friday 25th September @ 23:59. ;)

Why not just get one person to enter it and vote relentlessly for this one person, and split the money ;) Therefore we get the forum name known and cash :P

Not bad idea that Sean but we could spend it on a lovely forum vinyl release, easy get 500 7inch's or maybe a LP!!

All the active members would be guaranteed a copy, who's up for submitting an entry for the forum then? :-*

I'm well up for this. Pick the more articulate of us to do the entry ;)

All the prize money should go to the forum, no members should have it, just goes straight into a really ace forum vinyl or something :)
